Label Everything
When you get to your new home, you're not going to want to open every box to find out where things go. Take some of the work out of unpacking by labeling all your boxes. Double-Check the Utilities
While you're in the process of moving, it can be easy to forget about important details, such as your utilities. The last thing you want is to get to your new home and find out you don't have electricity. About one week before your move date, contact the utility companies and make sure you're on the schedule for service. Make a follow-up call the day before you move. This will ensure that your utilities are on and ready to go when you move in.
